On the left, a the quilted silk pelisse before treatment. The pelisse was  significantly creased and stained due to improper storage and water damage. On the right, the pelisse after wet-cleaning treatment to remove stains and creasing.

Close up shot of the patterned, warp printed taffeta flounce. The green dye used to print the delicate leaf pattern has caused the silk fiber in the warp to completely degrade.

19" by 23" lace table cover, re-constructed and re-assembled in the 19th century from 17th or early 18th century needle lace fragments. A bleaching treatment was performed to lighten the discoloration. At top, the piece before treatment. At bottom, the piece after treatment.
